The registry record

Filing records, including TTB IDs, approval dates, applicant names, permit numbers, and class codes, are United States government public records. They carry no copyright and may be used freely. Cite the TTB Public COLA Registry and the TTB ID; every CaskGrail page links to the filing's own record there.

Label images

Label artwork belongs to the producers who filed it. CaskGrail shows labels as filed, for identification and reference. Reuse of a label image is a matter between you and its owner.

CaskGrail's readings and pages

The facts CaskGrail reads from labels, the sourcing and pick classifications, and the page text are CaskGrail's work. You may quote and cite them, with attribution to CaskGrail and a link to the page, for articles, research, answers, and non-commercial use. Bulk reproduction of the register, or commercial redistribution of the readings, requires permission.

Citing a page

"CaskGrail, from TTB COLA {TTB ID}, approved {date}" is enough. The provenance line at the foot of every filing page has the identifier and the date.
